My name is Spectra! I'm being looked after by: Paws & & Claws.
Breed: Saluki/Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix
Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With Black
Age: Puppy
Size: Med. 26-60 lbs. (12-27 kg).
Sex: Female.
I am currently spayed, up to date with shots, good with children, and excellent with canines. 11/14/14: UNFORTUNATELY SPECTRA'S NEW HOME DID NOT WORK OUT AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO RETURN HER TO A KILL SHELTER INSTEAD OF BRINGING HER BACK TO United States AFTER ONLY 1 DAY!! APPARENTLY, THEY TRIED TO CLAIM THAT SPECTRA HAD BITTEN THE CHILD-WHICH WAS UNTRUE. WE BELIEVE THAT SPECTRA MAY HAVE NIPPED OR LUNGED AT THE BOY (WHO WAS ONLY 2-3 YEARS OLD)OUT OF NERVOUSNESS OR FEAR HOWEVER, THE PEOPLE NEVER GAVE HER AN OPPORTUNITY TO ADJUST TO HER NEW HOME AND AS WITH ANY NEW DOG, YOU SHOULD NEVER ALLOW A TODDLER TO JUST RUN UP TO THE DOG, ESPECIALLY UNATTENDED. THE TODDLER DOES N'T KNOW ANY BETTER AND NEITHER DID SPECTRA-THEY ARE BOTH BABIES AND ONE OF THEM IS IN UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY! IF GIVEN THE TIME SHE NEEDS TO ADJUST TO HER NEW HOME AND SURROUNDINGS, WE STILL FEEL THAT SPECTRA WILL MAKE A GREAT FAMILY ADDITION. CONSIDERING THAT BEING BACK HOME WITH United States, SHE IS DOING FINE AND IS A HAPPY GIRL ONCE AGAIN. WE ALSO BELIEVE THAT SHE WILL DO FINE WITH CHILDREN WHO ARE RESPECTFUL OF DOGS AND THEIR SPACE. SPECTRA IS PAD (choice adoption donation) ELIGIBLE! You pick exactly what you desire to pay based upon what you feel our rescue efforts and Spectra's friendship indicates to you! 8/29/14: THE GIRLS ARE MAKING TREMENDOUS PROGRESS AND ARE BECOMING VERY FRIENDLY, LOVING PUPS! THEY REALLY CRAVE ATTENTION AND HAVE STARTED PUTTING ON WEIGHT (STILL THIN THOUGH BUT NOT FOR LONG NOW THAT THEY ARE GETTING A STEADY DIET!). ALL 3 PUPS HAVE BEEN SPAYED AND ARE READY TO GO HOME TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES! THEY SHOULD DO WELL IN ANY SITUATION AS THEY ARE HAPPY AND EAGER TO PLEASE!Spectra and her (2) siblings are approx 3-4 months old and is most likely a hound/shepherd mix.A girl had actually discovered these 3 women eating her cat food one morning and think that they were discarded in her lawn. They are extremely thin yet took turkey from us extremely gently. They are likewise very terrified and were trying to frighten us away with roaring. It didn't work and after some turkey bribery, they were consuming out of our hand, wagging tails and wanting to play and be animal. They still are scared and it will take some time to win their trust however we don't think that it will certainly take long! We will certainly be working fattening these ladies up and getting them vetted however they will require permanent houses. We believe that they will make excellent family companions once they find out to trust people. But who can criticize them for being a bit distrustful when they were starving and dropped off in a strange place! A little love and TLC will work its magic like it always does! Kindly let us know if interested in adopting either Twiggy, Spectra, or Slinky! Their adoption fees will be (you select) each and will certainly cover their spays and vetting. You might call us @ -LRB-352-RRB-493-1255 (leave an in-depth message with dog's name if no answer and we will certainly call you as soon as we get the message).
